HISTORY
Regent School was established in 1947 and has maintained an outstanding reputation for the personal growth and academic excellence of its students. This has been accomplished through the efforts of a dedicated staff, small classes, a secure environment and a rigorous curriculum. We pride ourselves on the good behavior of our students and depth of parent interest.
PROGRAMS
The kindergarten program is planned to prepare the child for independent thought and action, healthy social interaction and creative expression, as well as academic success in first grade. Homework is assigned every night.

The elementary grade curriculum includes all courses prescribed by the N.Y.S. Department of Education and all material covered on standardized achievement tests. Our graduates are consistently accepted into excellent schools. Many attend top prep schools on scholarship.
The following are among the subjects taught, with varying emphasis, depending on grade level: English, reading, math, science, social studies, phonics, spelling, health, penmanship, composition, current events, computers, citizenship, philosophy, art and music.
An outdoor play period is scheduled each day. Our spacious indoor play area allows for adequate physical exercise during cold or wet weather.
VISITING
You are invited to visit us any day between 9 A.M. and 11 A.M. We will be pleased to answer questions you may have about our curriculum and educational philosophy.

Transportation is optional and is available at an additional cost for A.M. and P.M. service or for one way service. MetroCards for public transportation are provided free of charge to eligible students. Many children are brought to and from school by their parents. We leave the decision up to you!
